Device & Software Use

Device & Software Use

At ADR Studio Management, we offer a flexible work environment β€” including the freedom to use your own tools and devices. However, to maintain efficiency, compatibility, and security across the team, there are a few essential guidelines.

πŸ’» Devices

You are free to use your personal laptop or desktop for ADR Studio work as long as:

  • It is secure (password-protected and up to date)

  • It has the required software installed

  • It can handle the workload for your role (design, video editing, dev, etc.)

  • You follow all guidelines in the Security & Confidentiality section

πŸ“Ž For specific roles (like video editing or 3D), minimum hardware specs may be required.

βœ… Required Software

Depending on your role, you will need access to some or all of the following:

  • Slack – Team communication

  • ClickUp – Task and project management

  • Google Chrome – Preferred browser for compatibility

  • Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) – Documents and collaboration

  • Box Drive – For secure file sharing and archives

  • Figma – Design and prototyping

  • Adobe Creative Cloud – For design, video, and content production

  • Frame.io – For video feedback (if applicable)

  • WeTransfer – For lightweight file transfers

  • Notion – For notes and internal references (if part of your workflow)

πŸ”„ Updates & Maintenance

  • Keep your device’s OS and software updated regularly

  • Ensure antivirus or malware protection is active (especially on Windows)

  • Restart and clear cache periodically for performance

  • Inform your PM if your device is experiencing limitations affecting work

πŸ“₯ Software Licenses

ADR provides licenses for:

  • Adobe Creative Cloud (if required)

  • Paid Figma accounts (for design team)

  • SEO tools (for the marketing team)

  • Additional apps on a case-by-case basis

If you need access to a premium tool for your work, speak with your Project Manager before purchasing anything independently.

πŸ”Œ Backups & File Storage

  • Do not store important project files locally without backup

  • Always upload working files to Google Drive or Box Drive

  • Use clearly named folders and follow the naming conventions described in the Design Guidelines

πŸ›‘ What Not To Use

  • Personal Google Drive or Dropbox accounts

  • Public or unverified AI/image-generation tools without review

  • Shared accounts or logins without approval

  • Any platform not authorized for storing or processing client work

πŸ’¬ Use the tools that make you powerful β€” but do so responsibly. Efficiency starts with a clean, updated, and well-prepared workstation.
